The Washington Post quotes an Israeli tank commander on operations in Lebanon:
Hezbollah's tenacity, he said, was understandable.
"We knew they were going to do this. This is territory they say is theirs. We would do the same thing if someone came into our country."

I have difficulty understanding (a) why the United States and Israel insist Lebanon implements United Nations' Resolution 1559, yet the U.S.A. vetoes every resolutions against israel, and (b) why United Nations Resolution 242, on the book since 1967 calling for the "withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the 6 Day War is not respected?
Until 242 is implemented the USA will be at war with the Muslim world. Also, I cannot understand why non from the American media asks the same question.
