End of Year Velo News
Last Saturday was my final bicycle ride of 2010. This coming weekend I sky out for Vietnam so no ride is likey in the final hours before departure. I've ridden every week in 2010 so far, averaging 23.4 miles in those weeks. My average for the year will come out to 22.1 miles. My annual goal is 1040, or 20 miles per week. This is the second year I've topped the goal.
More important than the mileage is the freedom of just cranking out on city streets and trails. Olympia is a fine town for cycling--traffic is calm and most drivers are both aware of and courteous toward cyclists. I see no reason to think that 2011 won't be an equally good cycling year.
