Long Term Prospects

Without thinking, which is how they are these days, Republicans may have found an even more effective weapon to destroy government than Grover Norquist's bathtub:  run off the next generation.  Not only will the public sector miss out on a whole new way of thinking in an era of rapid technological change, but an entire generation will come to see that there is no future in public service. 

America will be diminished by the loss of their talent.
